- Season 10 consisted of 22 episodes.
- Scott Baio, Erin Moran, and Al Molinaro left the show to star in a short-lived spinoff Joanie Loves Chachi. Baio and Moran rejoined the main cast for the final season and made guest appearances in this season, while Molinaro made a few guest appearances in these final seasons. Recurring Character Debuts: K.C. Cunningham, Heather Pfister, Ashley Pfister.
- This is the last season to use the original "Happy Days" opening and closing themes, it had been in use since Season 3. This is also the last season where the characters stand in front of the walls in the opening credits.
- Cathy Silvers (Jenny Piccalo) and Ted McGinley (Roger Phillips) were added to the opening credits, Lynda Goodfriend left the show to make guest appearances, while Linda Purl joined the main cast as Fonzie's girlfriend, Ashley Pfister.
- Henry Winkler, Marion Ross, and Tom Bosley appear in all episodes.
- Ted McGinley was absent for four episodes.
- Cathy Silvers was absent for five episodes.

| Fonzie becomes weary about his inability to become happy by plowing through dates. He finds love at first sight with a woman he sees on an escalator, although he doesn't catch her name, and orders everyone at Arnold's to find her. Potsie recognizes the woman from his dad's gas station as Ashley Pfister, so Fonzie visits her at her apartment in hopes she will fall in love with him. Ashley proves to be unlike any other woman whom Fonzie ever dated, as she does not immediately fall under his influence. | ||||||
